About this tool
Useful for contract terms, holidays, pregnancy, projects and countdowns. Besides the total number of days, you get the calendar difference as years, months and days.
You can add start and end times for exact hours and minutes. Every day counts as 24 hours: daylight saving changes are ignored because the calculation is not tied to a time zone.
How to use
- Pick the start and end dates.
- Optionally add times or include the end date (+1 day).
- Read the difference in every unit.

Frequently asked questions
Should I include the end date?
For “how many days have passed”, leave it off. For the length of a period where both days count (a holiday from the 1st to the 14th), turn it on — you get 14, not 13.
What if the end date is before the start date?
Nothing breaks: the difference is shown as a positive number with a note.
How are full months counted?
A month completes when the same day of the next month arrives. If that day does not exist (the 31st), it completes on the last day of the month.
